A student studying abroad with Academic Programs Abroad (APA): Dakar - Summer Program

About

Discover the heart of Francophone West Africa with APA's six week summer program in Dakar, Senegal. Students take two classes, all taught in French, from the following:

  • Interacting in a Francophone World: Advanced French Language for Intermediate Speakers

  • Oral & Written African Literature: Ideas, Themes and Meanings

Additionally, all students will stay with a carefully selected host family, with all meals included.

Consider extending your stay in this coastal capital city two more weeks (perfect for qualifying for funding opportunities!) and choose to participate in an an independent study, internship, or volunteer with a NGO in Dakar or in a rural village.
