It was. I learned a lot and definitely appreciate cultural differences more now. Rebecca Hoffschneider - Concordia University Nebraska View Entire Review
I learned a lot about myself and what I need in order to get the most from an experience. From traveling around Greece and Europe as a whole, I got a taste from each country and learned about the history of the various cultures, which I loved. I think I would have been more suited for either a shorter time abroad, as it was my f... A student - University of Hartford View Entire Review
I learned to push myself out of my comfort shell and say yes to more things and go to countries I would normally not go to. Aileen Dowden - Texas A&M University - College Station View Entire Review
Studying abroad was most definitely worthwhile. I wish I did it sooner so I could have spent a year abroad. This has been the best experience of my college career by far. I have always traveled internationally and lived outside the US for a good chunk of my childhood. I have learned to appreciate other cultures more than I alrea... I learned a bit of the Greek language and made connections with locals. Yes it was something I could not get at my home university. Lauren - University of Hartford View Entire Review
It was completely worthwhile! I gained some new friendships, wonderful memories, new favorite foods, plus the ability to be more accepting of others and their differences. I also learned that other people may do things differently than I do, but that doesn't make what they do wrong. A student - Texas A&M University - College Station View Entire Review
I learned a lot about communicating with others. I learned about another culture. I learned that patience and a smile go a long way. I learned that I am capable of being independent. I learned that life is short, so don't miss out. It was all very worthwhile. Jillian S - Ohio Northern University View Entire Review

I learned a lot of different things while abroad. It was absolutely worthwhile and would encourage everyone to at least look into it. A student - University of Hartford View Entire Review
Some things I gained from being abroad is being more independent. There weren’t many options for quick foods that we could buy, so we had to make all our foods from scratch. This also shows me how to time manage well. I’ve also learned a lot about the Greek culture while I was abroad as well as the ancient architecture there A student - University of Hartford View Entire Review
I gained so much more knowledge about the culture, food, music, people and I even made so many friends that I still keep in touch with. It was very worthwhile and it made me so appreciative and grateful. Dima Karaki - University of Hartford View Entire Review
I learned so much while studying in Greece. I learned about their history and current political climate that gives me a greater appreciation of their situation that they face today. I was able to meet refugees and learn about their experiences that have pushed me towards wanting to work with NGO's that assist refugees. Going to ... I gained so much appreciation for other cultures and I definitely have the travel bug now. My time in Greece was so worthwhile- I grew as a person and as a professional and student. My only regret is not going longer and only studying abroad once. Bobbie D - Northeastern University View Entire Review
