About
During the summer, AIFS offers a popular Soccer and Sports Science program at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. This program is conducted in English.
Live in a Spanish homestay, in an apartment or, for an additional fee, in a student residence. Homestay students receive daily breakfast and dinner from the family. Apartment and student residence students will receive a meal allowance to subsidize the cost of groceries and meals.
Barcelona is Spain’s second-largest city and its most cosmopolitan. With its surreal and colorful buildings from architect Antoni Gaudí, Barcelona has been a center for innovation in art, architecture and style since the 19th century. Immerse yourself in Barcelona’s eclectic culture through walking tours, visits to museums and the Sagrada Família Basílica, a flamenco show and a tapas tour.
Over 50% of students receive financial assistance from AIFS in the form of grants or scholarships.

Each year, AIFS awards more than $800,000 in scholarships, grants and financial support to deserving students & institutions. Funds are available for both summer and semester programs. Additional scholarships and grants are available to students at many schools across the country.
