Spend a summer, January term, Maymester, semester or academic year in the modern and cosmopolitan city of Barcelona, Spain with AIFS. You’ll earn up to 15 credits while studying at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Courses are taught in English or Spanish with no previous Spanish language study required.
During the summer, AIFS offers a popular Soccer and Sports Science program at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. This program is conducted in English.
Live in a Spanish homestay, in an apartment or, for an additional fee, in a student residence. Homestay students receive daily breakfast and dinner from the family. Apartment and student residence students will receive a meal allowance to subsidize the cost of groceries and meals.
Barcelona is Spain’s second-largest city and its most cosmopolitan. With its surreal and colorful buildings from architect Antoni Gaudí, Barcelona has been a center for innovation in art, architecture and style since the 19th century. Immerse yourself in Barcelona’s eclectic culture through walking tours, visits to museums and the Sagrada Família Basílica, a flamenco show and a tapas tour.
Over 50% of students receive financial assistance from AIFS in the form of grants or scholarships.
