About
Semester students live in a university residence hall, an Austrian homestay or, for an additional fee, a shared apartment. During summer session, participants live in a student residence hall. A meal allowance is included with all housing options to subsidize the cost of meals and groceries.
Semester and academic year students choose courses for up to 15 credits per semester from an array of subjects including anthropology, art history, business, economics, history, international relations, literature, music, philosophy, politics, sociology. German language is also available.
Summer students may select two courses (taught in English) in subjects including anthropology, art history, history, music or sociology, or they take just one of these courses plus a German language course to begin or advance their German language skills.
You’ll enjoy cultural and social activities such as Austrian cooking classes, a Mozart dinner concert and visits to places like the Austrian Christmas market, and Werfen Castle and Hellbrunn Palace.
Excursions vary by program but may include travel such as a 3-day trip to Vienna and a day trips to places like Innsbruck. Optional excursions may also vary by program such as a day trip to Munich, Germany and a 3-day trip to Prague, Czech Republic.
Salzburg is one of the most elegant and interesting cities in Europe. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its unique character and architecture, enjoy the charm of city life and the tranquility of its lush meadows, mountains and lakes.
