The two biggest things I learned were in regards to culture and politics. With culture, I gained great insight from people I spoke to around town, my professors and classmates. This included local phrases, different eating habits, and by the end I was laughing at jokes that only Greeks would understand. In terms of politics, my ... - Brandeis University View Entire Review
I learned more about being organized and planning travels on my own, as well as the importance of learning the language and culture while I was there. I am so happy that I went, it was worth every penny! View Entire Review
I learned a lot about myself, my goals, and the people I want to surround myself with (study abroad was a very reflective experience for me). I had some challenges but felt like I was pushed out of my comfort zone and the little happy liberal bubble that I live in was popped. Definitely worthwhile. - Brown University View Entire Review
I learned a lot about what it was like to live and learn in a different culture. It was very worthwhile and I don't think that I would have enjoyed it as much anywhere else! - Michigan State University View Entire Review
I gained a lot of confidence and perspective from this semester. I was forced to problem-solve and live on my own (relatively speaking) for three months, meaning that I had to learn to budget, travel, etc. for myself. Additionally, I interacted with a lot of international students, allowing me to have a much broader perspective ... - Case Western Reserve University View Entire Review

My time in Greece was 100% worthwhile! It was an adventure, and I gained a new perspective on things. I gained language skills, people skills, and most importantly a new way of seeing life. There is so much more to life. Traveling across the world allows you to look at it with a different mindset. It was worth every second of it. - University of Hartford View Entire Review
Coming abroad was definitely worthwhile. It exposed some of my inherent biases and arrogance when interacting with a different culture and showed me the ways that I can improve myself when I go home. - Boston College View Entire Review

That different parts of the world live differently than we do in America, and that sometimes what we know is not the only or the best way to go through life. Instead life is something to enjoy at all points and that stress and work is a good drive to have, but should not take over your life.
