I got out of my comfort zone A student - Middlebury College View Entire Review
Academically, I gained several specified skills in CS that are not available to learn at Middlebury. Socially, I learned how to live in a bustling city in a downtown apartment and interact with a society and culture with a language different than my own. I was therefore 100% worthwhile. It has been months since I finished the program but I couldn’t stop thinking about it, so I think I should leave a review here for future students. It was definitely the best and most memorable time during my college life and I highly recommend any CS students to choose this program. Budapest is a beautiful city. It is in th... This isn't the program for extreme cultural immersion, but it is the program for living in a beautiful city with rich history and plenty to do. I learned a lot about being independent and navigating a place where you don't know the language or customs. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
A lot of computer science knowledge, good friends, fun travel, well worth it A student - Middlebury College View Entire Review
I learned a lot about living independently in a country without having any knowledge of the Hungarian language. The language barrier did help me develop social skills (speaking, body language, etc.) I also made new friends with different backgrounds during the program, which is always amazing. I got out of my comfort zone and had a great time exploring and being in Europe for the first time. The classes were the perfect amount of rigor, where I didn't feel stressed but was learning a lot. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Definitely worthwhile. I learned what it's like to actually be responsible for cooking for myself. I learned to avoid WizzAir (AVOID WIZZAIR!!!) and that RyanAir isn't as strict about its baggage size limits as it pretends to be. I traveled internationally by myself, navigated public transport in all sorts of languages, learned ... Claire - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I learned how to live on my own in a completely new culture, which was definitely worthwhile, although I wouldn't say this is the best program for complete "cultural immersion". A student - Middlebury College View Entire Review

About
Tailored to the needs of North American computer science and software engineering undergraduates in their sophomore through senior years, AIT offers semester-long programs to bridge the gap between the world of academia and business. Classes are taught in English by eminent Hungarian professors, most of whom have had teaching experience in North American universities. Teachers closely monitor each individual student's progress. Considerable time is devoted to problem solving and encouraging student creativity. Emphasis is on depth of understanding rather than on the quantity of material. The academic program is based on a philosophy of small and intimate classes, close collaboration of students and faculty, and hands-on work through group projects.
