It was a short program (two weeks), but my favorite parts were spent with the locals. That is when you learn the most, and enjoy the experiences the most. A student - Brigham Young University View Entire Review
I learned a lot not only about product design for third world countries, but also the process of communicating engineering principles with non engineers. Furthermore I learned a great deal about the Peruvian culture and its people. A student - Brigham Young University View Entire Review
It was definitely worthwhile. I got to see the challenges that a third-world country faces first hand. I learned that the people are very capable and knowledgeable about many things and have many contributions to design and engineering, although they are lacking in engineering principles. I learned how to solve problems with no "perfect" solution. I'm so excited to apply it to my job. I learned that people can understand basic physics principles without having formal training. I learned that there are challenges in the world that I can provide a solution for. Larissa C - Brigham Young University View Entire Review
I learned so much about culture and how it affects design. This was a very valuable experience for me. Amy W - Brigham Young University View Entire Review
I gained a huge appreciation and a greater understanding of the needs of people in a different culture, and the process of design and problem solving. YES. A student - Brigham Young University View Entire Review
