It was definitely worthwhile. While the trip cost a pretty penny, the impact on my character and life is priceless. Lindsey W - University of North Georgia View Entire Review

This program is definitely a worthwhile experience! Through CIEE, I got to experience a lot of South Korea's culture and history, as well as learn a bit more about myself. From studying abroad, some things I think I've learned were 1) how to adapt to fit my needs/wants 2) how to look at things from a different perspective 3) h... It was definitely worth while. Korea is a great place and people here in the program are nice. I gained a lot of great friends. I still keep in touch with some of them. A student - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review

My Korean (especially listening, vocab, and basic skills e.g. taking a taxi) improved a TON. If you study and do the homework for Korean class then you'll learn a lot. The most valuable aspect, however, is just learning about Korean culture and experiencing it first hand. Kevin D - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
Absolutely! I learned so much about Korea and other nationalities (being mixed with a large international crowd). It has opened my awareness and I honestly would love to go back to Korea one day! Gayle T - University of Pittsburgh - Greensburg View Entire Review
Yes, this experience demonstrated to me my ability to handle changes and things that I need to adapt to quickly. This didn't change my future plans so much as confirm them. I am ow even more convinced that I want to take a year to teach English in South Korea and it is because of the amazing experience that I had on this program... Absolutely. I feel like I really got to see what it's like to live in Korea. I think I will go back there to teach English when I graduate. And I definitely want to work there in something more long-term. Shannon D View Entire Review
I learned that I'm actually a lot more of a homebody than I thought. I don't regret going to South Korea but I wasn't prepared for the emotional feelings of missing home. However, I did learn that life keeps going anywhere in the world. So whenever I have a bad day I know I shouldn't keep my head down for long because the world ... Mostly I learned that I can adapt to new situations and figure things out by myself, even when I an around completely unfamiliar things. Honestly, this is a place where I might want to live, and so this experience definitely helped me realise that. Brooke Evans - Truman State University View Entire Review

I learned how adaptable I am to new environments and how I'm more independent than I originally gave myself credit for. It was DEFINITELY a worthwhile experience and I was sad to leave. A student - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
Yes it was worth. I've learned many new stuffs and met cool international students. Even though many students from US, it was great to have time spent in Seoul with them. helen.an.520 - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
