Thessaloniki, founded in 315 BC, is the second largest city in Greece, located about 300 miles north of Athens in the ancient province of Macedonia. Nearby, Mount Olympus, Mount Athos, and the coastal resorts of the Halkidiki Peninsula offer many sightseeing and recreational opportunities. With its rich history and strategic geopolitical location, Greece offers a contemporary lifestyle as well as the presence of the rich heritage of both the east and west. The American College of Thessaloniki offers programs of study in the arts and sciences, and in business administration. All coursework is taught in English, and no prior study or knowledge of Greek language is required.
