The Venice program is hosted at the Istituto Venezia. Semester program participants can choose either to take an Intensive Italian language or to participate in the Venetian Civilization and Culture courses in addition to the Italian language course. Summer program in Venice offers intensive Italian language courses at beginner, intermediate, and advanced level. The semester and summer programs in Venice are offered though the College Consortium for International Studies (CCIS).
Istituto Venezia-The Venice Institute, is a small language
center that has been offering language instruction
for Italians and foreigners since 1933. A six-credit Italian
language course is offered at the beginning, intermediate,
and advanced levels. The Istituto Venezia is located in the
heart of the university area of Venice, which has a high
artistic value. The area is crowded with university students
who gather in coffee shops and for live concerts,
which are often held in this neighborhood.
