Overall Experience
I learned so much about myself! While I have traveled to Mexico and Canada, I have never been abroad - much less by myself! I was so incredibly nervous to go to an entire different continent without knowing a single person; yet I made life-long friends and had the trip of a lifetime. - Indiana University - Bloomington View Entire Review
I learned a lot form my classes, how to navigate a city on my own, time management, and a lot from locals of London, Paris, and Montreal as I met many international students there - Indiana University - Bloomington View Entire Review
I learned that I can be successfully independent from my study abroad experience. Outside of trips with IES, I traveled to Paris, Brussels, Oxford, Windsor, Wimbledon, and Dover. Each of these trips taught me that I have the capability of "choosing my own adventure." Similarly, a lot of my exploration of London was done on my ow... - Indiana University - Bloomington View Entire Review
I learned how to travel completely independently and had the chance to deeply explore one of the most important cities in our world. - Agnes Scott College View Entire Review
I gained the confidence of living on my own and using one of the most intricate public transportation systems in the world. I also gained a more worldly view and a different perspective of a new culture. I think that's invaluable as a business student. - Indiana University - Bloomington View Entire Review
Past Review Life Changing.
I gained a greater understanding of the world and also gained a better understanding of myself. - Trinity University View Entire Review
I travelled abroad to London for 8 weeks as a part of IES Abroad's 2015 UK Today program. I had the time of my life, with so many amazing new friends! I had the experience of fully immersing myself in a different culture and meeting people from all over the world. I got to take in an incredible amount of beautiful art, and try n... - Wagner College View Entire Review

always say yes to new expereinces! - Trinity University View Entire Review
While living in London, I also appreciated how diverse the city was and how open it was to cultures from all over the world! This was the most exciting part for me! In London, every neighborhood or borough was a touristy and niche with plenty of cultural boutiques and restaurants. I was also about 15 minutes away from Camden Mar... - Indiana University - Bloomington View Entire Review
Past Review Dream Come True
I learned so much about becoming culturally aware. While people don't think there is a big difference between the US and the UK, there are differences, different ways of doing and saying things that I had to get used to. I gained more interpersonal communication techniques as well and becoming comfortable with doing things on my... - University of Iowa View Entire Review
I gained so many new friends and new found skills. I honestly gained more street smarts than I ever thought I needed. - Indiana University - Bloomington View Entire Review
I learned so much about myself, the topics I studied, and the history and culture of the UK. I gained a new sense of independence and a new viewpoint of the world. - Indiana University - Bloomington View Entire Review
I became more culturally aware than I thought I would be. I learned so much about the city I was in, the people around me, and myself! It was absolutely worthwhile. - Indiana University - Bloomington View Entire Review
I learned how to manage my money more efficiently. - Trinity University View Entire Review
From studying aboard I gained more self confidence. Being in a foreign country on your own forces you to go out, explore the city, mature and become more assertive. I'm a shy person so being in a big city helped me to come out of my shell a little bit. It was definitely a worthwhile experience. - University of Missouri - Columbia View Entire Review
A student studying abroad with IES Abroad: London - UK Today, Summer Program
I learned so many life lessons through the UK Today program and have found a better sense of who I am as a person. Both of the classes I took met in specific locations in the city, such as the National Portrait Gallery or the Royal Naval College in Greenwich, and required lots of walking and picture taking (two things I throughl... - Purdue University View Entire Review
I gained knowledge of another culture that is similar in some ways but also very different in ways that can only be experienced in person. My time in London was certainly worthwhile. - Trinity University View Entire Review
I learned how to be more independent and rely on myself. Having to learn how to navigate a big city with a complex transportation system was satisfying. It was definitely a worthwhile experience! - Trinity University View Entire Review
