I met so many people and gained so many friends. It was a major confidence boost and taught me how to interact and meet people and socialize better. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I learned what it is like to go somewhere and do something completely out of my comfort zone. Being solely dependent on myself. It was valuable. A student - Trinity University View Entire Review
I learned how much I love to hike, surf and be outside and how I need to make that more of a priority in my life. I also learned how to be more sociable and outgoing. Before I was quite shy and it was hard for me to warm up to people, but I got over that when I was abroad. I went to the university not knowing anyone, and I ended... Yes, mostly due to seeing a new country, and learning to be far away from my comfort zone. Matthew K - Tufts University View Entire Review
I definitely gained a sense of independence. One day over spring break between trips I was back in Christchurch for the day but none of my friends were. I walked to the mall to get groceries and enjoyed hammocking outside by myself. I'm surprised by how easily I found myself doing that because I am someone who loves to be around... Independance. Sure it was worthwhile. A student - Trinity University View Entire Review
I have traveled to many other countries in my life, and New Zealand was just not one that I enjoyed. The best time I had abroad was when I volunteered in Bali for 2 weeks during Spring Break. A student - Trinity University View Entire Review
It was so worthwhile!! I learned about myself and about how much I want to explore the world. I made incredible friends and I couldn't recommend doing something like this more!! Olivia - Tulane University View Entire Review
Part of it was like an amazing 6 month vacation where there was just plenty of exploring and awesome things to do. The abroad experience comes from the time actually living there and interacting with the society. It was interesting to look at my home county through the eyes of outsiders and compare the priorities and lifestyle o... A student - Trinity University View Entire Review
I have a much higher sense of self-confidence and I know that I can handle almost any situation. I also learned that I can meet new people and get along with them just fine. I learned a lot about myself and have grown as a person which is always a good thing. It was absolutely worthwhile. Ailie V - Trinity University View Entire Review
Life is short. Go for it. It was absolutely worthwhile. Maxwell R - Trinity University View Entire Review
YES! I got to experience an amazing country! I also got to experience what it's like to attend a large university. I also got to know people from lots of different countries while travelling. I learned to cook in the flats and I learned a lot about tramping. I enjoyed taking classes outside of engineering and learning about di... Afton G - Trinity University View Entire Review
Absolutely! I would not have changed any of it for the world, except maybe to have more travel time after my finals. The people I met, the sights I saw, the culture I learned, the pictures I took will all remain invaluable to me. Michael R - Tufts University View Entire Review
