I have a deeper appreciation for culture abroad and my own culture in America. I understand things about my friends who are international students that I never really got until I left the country. Amy S - Berea College View Entire Review
I learned to be more independent than I already was as well as how to plan my own trip abroad in the future. A student - Berea College View Entire Review
I learned how to spend my money. But it was worth all the hastle because back in the states now, I don't regret anything. A student - Berea College View Entire Review
I learned how to be confident with my ability to travel. I learned independence and how to communicate with strangers very different from myself. A student - Berea College View Entire Review
To be honest, the actual time spent in class was lackluster, at least with the classes I took, and the assignments were ridiculously easy. But the tours and on site lectures that the group had as a whole were really good, and there's a lot of opportunities to learn and do things on your own. The museums are amazing, and even if ... I learned about myself in the sense of being more of a global citizen. Being outside of the US, I realized that it was not the greatest country in the world. It is just another country on this planet. It had its own social, political, and economic problems when I was away. Sure, Americans are better off than many people, but tha... I gained a new worldview and respect for other cultures. I expanded and explored my spiritual path and my own ambitions. It was worth every penny and every second. I cannot wait to return to Greece. kimberly b - Berea College View Entire Review

I learned a lot, I gained a lot more confidence in handling daily needs by myself (ex. buying a phone card, ordering food, etc). I also gained a much deeper understanding and appreciation of Greek culture, and the different varieties of it in different areas of Greece. It was definitely worthwhile and I would love to go again! I learned about antiquity and modern culture. It was definitely worth it. Rhea Carter - Berea College View Entire Review
I learned a lot about culture, history, and how the two concepts intertwine to make modern Greece. Joudeline Morales-Santoyo - Berea College View Entire Review
more than I even know. Nicolas K - Berea College View Entire Review
Mostly I learned patience. There are a lot of frustrating things about being in a new country for the first time. But it was definitely worthwhile. A student - Berea College View Entire Review
A lot has happened to me since returning home from Greece. Home was just like I had left it, and yet at the same time, everything had changed, if only slightly. I remember around week four in Greece I had developed the feelings of homesickness. It wasn’t culture shock; I don’t think I was there long enough for that to happen, bu... learned about another culture and way of life, the value of social life over business life jeanette.gingerich - Berea College View Entire Review
I absolutely loved this trip. It gave me the opportunity to go to a country I would otherwise not likely have been able to visit. Studying abroad really does open your eyes to the world and other cultures. Kate W - Ball State University View Entire Review
"Was your study abroad experience worthwhile?" This just seems like such a strange question, because it feels so silly. My experience abroad did three very distinct things for me: First, it allowed me to pursue a line of education that was not offered at my undergraduate university. While abroad, I was able to take courses ... Maggie C - Ball State University View Entire Review
