Yes
I learned so much about my field (lots of different perspectives and really pushed myself with how I think about things) and it was nice to be surrounded by people studying the same, I found a great group of friends through news and soccer, played soccer in london which was amazing, all and all incredible experience |
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
after paying rent, it was relatively easy, but I am from an expensive place so london didn't seem so bad, but for other people it was a bit of a budget shock |
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | 30 |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | walk or bike for transport when ever possible in london, its much faster than the tube and honestly its a lot of fun to walk/bike around, don't go out to eat too much, gets expensive fast |

The Academic or LinguistYou went abroad with specific academic goals in mind; the program credentials and rigor of your coursework abroad were very important to you. You had a great time abroad, but never lost sight of your studies and (if applicable) were diligent with your foreign language study. Good for you! |
