About

Founded in 1983, the Centro de Lenguas y Intercambio Cultural of Sevilla has obtained the seal of quality for the teaching of Spanish, CEELE, from the prestigious University of Alcalá de Henares. The school utilizes the direct communication method, employs experienced native teachers, offers courses in small groups with modern class material, an interesting cultural program, and personally selected housing all designed for the students' needs. The school is situated in the heart of Sevilla, a short distance from the Town Hall, Cathedral and the Royal Palaces, in a completely refurbished traditional house. In the school's main building, marble columns from Roman times around the spacious central patio and sun terraces provide the setting for 20 classrooms, a study room/library, a multimedia room with internet access, and a conference and video room, all fully air-conditioned. In other words, it is a purpose–built center of learning in one of the most privileged areas of the city. The school's second building (the "old" school), only 8 minutes walk from the main building, houses the teacher training department, 14 classrooms and special group programs. This includes half board (breakfast and lunch). Host families generally have teenage or older children. Most students eat with the family and in this way have a direct and natural experience of Spanish life. This option is recommended for all students, but especially younger students (15 - 25). All students are welcome to participate in this unique experience. The school places students of different nationalities within any given homestay unless otherwise requested. Lodging in upscale homestays is available at additional cost. Stately updated Sevillian houses are available in the heart of the city center, with double and single rooms, TV rooms, kitchens, common bathrooms and terraces. The Centro de Lenguas recommends this type of accommodation for those students who desire independence and more comfort and enjoy the international environment with fellow students from different countries. Cleaning service and taxes are included. Lodging in upscale residence rooms is available at additional cost. Another option for lodging involves sharing a flat with young Spaniards who work or study; and allows students the use of kitchen and bathroom facilities. The majority of these flats are in the historical center of the city and are within walking distance of the school. Rooms may be either single or double. There are usually one or two Spanish people living with one or two foreign students. With this option you can be both independent and in contact with Spanish people. A centrally located flat for one or two people may also be available for lodging in Sevilla. Furnished, with kitchen and bathroom. This is the perfect accommodation should you come accompanied or need complete independence. Executive accommodation is offered at additional cost. Most forms of alternate accommodation are centrally located. This option is available upon request and at additional cost.
