Past Review Fantastico!
That it's important to bring good walking shoes and it's best to immerse myself in the culture, no holding back and merely observing. - Northwest Arkansas Community College View Entire Review
I am stronger than I thought and still capable of learning and adapting. - Northwest Arkansas Community College View Entire Review
I learned how to be independent. Meeting new people is not an easy thing for me but this gave me the chance to become better at that. It was worth it. - Northwest Arkansas Community College View Entire Review
I learned much about the culture, the people, its traditions. I would do it all over again if I could. - Northwest Arkansas Community College View Entire Review
Absolutely worth while. I already had a love for Italy from previous trips but decided that I could be happy living there for an extended period of time and would want to learn Italian, study more about Italian classical music, learn Italian cuisine and the history of the country. all things Italian!! - University of Arkansas - Fayetteville View Entire Review
Definitely worthwhile. It opened my eyes to a whole different world that I didn't really acknowledge was in existence until I went there myself. - Northwest Arkansas Community College View Entire Review
Past Review Awesome Program!
Very worthwhile! - Northwest Arkansas Community College View Entire Review
It was completely worthwhile and different from my last experience when I lived on the island of Sicily. This place ( Siena ) is full of so much culture, history, safety and uniqueness that I can’t sum it up in a few words or sentences. - Northwest Arkansas Community College View Entire Review

I gained more knowledge about the kind of person I am and I learned how important it is to appreciate other people's way of life and not think that yours is better. - Northwest Arkansas Community College View Entire Review
I learned about cultural differences. What it's like to enter into another country and the bravery it takes. I also am extremely experienced in the ways of transportation now! - Northwest Arkansas Community College View Entire Review
I learn life lessons when it came to traveling. I really had to think on my feet and know exactly where to go and how to get there because it's not like you can call a friend to pick you up. I gained skills that I can use for the rest of my life. - Northwest Arkansas Community College View Entire Review
I made so many friends and now feel like any thing is possible! - Northwest Arkansas Community College View Entire Review
It was definitely worthwhile. - Northwest Arkansas Community College View Entire Review

About

The Università per Stranieri di Siena (est.1921) partners with NWACC global studies program to send students to participate in four weeks of classroom study in Siena. The program is open to students and members of the community and may be taken for college credit or audit. The Universita will provide instructors for the Italian language course; NWACC music professor Miles Fish will teach Music Appreciation (Italian Style). Each course is 3 hours credit for a total of 6 hours college credit or audit. One of the most attractive aspects of the Università—aside from the fact that students will live and study in the historic city center of Siena, Tuscany—is its diversity of students. Students from 95 countries attended the school. A minimum of 15 NWACC students is required.
