Overall Experience
I gained a new sense of self while abroad. It had been years since I had taken a pure history course and I have never been so far from home for so long. Primarily, I grew as a Spanish speaker and this alone made the experience worthwhile. I also became more integrated into Spanish culture and my best experience here was learning to make salmorejo and tortilla de patatas from one of my friends' grandparents. - Wellesley College View Entire Review

August 02, 2023 A Change Of Pace
I learned how to be an adult. Not only have I taken these skills back home with me, but it made me realize how much easier adulting would be than I realized. It could be fun and is not as scary as some may think it to be. Being "alone" in Spain allowed me to really hone my social skills and start making friends from "scratch." - Wellesley College View Entire Review

I became more confident in Spanish, I also became more confident in myself. Having to navigate a completely new culture I was in uncomfortable situations that I was able to navigate and I therefore became more confident. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
My Spanish improved drastically, and I enjoyed learning a lot of colloquial Spanish. As someone who wanted to go abroad for my Spanish major and for language acquisition purposes, it was definitely worthwhile! - Wellesley College View Entire Review
