This is not a fine dining experience. Food is scarce, learn to be glad you're getting anything at all. The markets, especially fruit ones, are amazing, though!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

the whole program is memorable cultural events and amazing field trips. Literally, you're never in a classroom.

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

Very safe except non-violent pickpocketing

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Bring more money then you think you need! You have a locker to leave valuables and extra cash in that's safe.

A Look Back

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? It's very helpful if you're comfortable outdoors/in uncomfortable situations. Do this program- you see some of the most famous natural areas in the world, and go on safaris that would be otherwise prohibitibly expensive!
