About
This program was designed to provide students needing to meet Spanish language requirements the opportunity to study the language in a full immersion setting. Spanish language courses at the advanced level are offered at the Centro de Estudios Hispánicos of Universidad Nacional. The professors are experienced and fully accredited Universidad Nacional educators whose specialty is teaching Spanish as a second language. Students will study in Costa Rica for 6 weeks, for up to 7 credit hours.
Program participants receive one field trip included in the cost of the program that will complement the academic component of the program and enrich their experience of the culture of Costa Rica and the Hispanic world. These outings highlight different elements of Costa Rica, including its natural biodiversity, pre-Columbian heritage, Colonial past, religious tradition, arts and folklore.
