About

Discover your world at Guangxi Normal University (GXNU)

- GXNU is located in Guilin in southern China. The area is famous for its limestone mountains and breath-taking scenery. The city is located on the Li River in which you can go on riverboat rides and take in the beautiful landscapes.
- You will be hosted by the Chinese Language Institute (CLI) during their stay in Guilin. CLI has offered study abroad experiences to students from 28 countries, representing more than 50 universities. The CLI staff provide a range of services to students and organize regular activities so that program participants can interact with Chinese students and practice their language skills.
- CLI occupies a beautiful five-story building located within a ten-minute walk from GXNU. The center has classroom space, a recreation room, and space for students to hang out.
- Compared to other Chinese cities, Guilin is small with a population around 700,000 people. There is very little heavy industry in the region, so the air quality is very good in contrast to the larger metropolises such as Beijing or Shanghai. So, you can breathe easy in Guilin!
- Guilin is served by an international airport, so you can travel within and outside China with relative ease.
