A limited number of opportunities are available for qualified non-Temple and Temple College of Science and Technology students to participate in a special for-credit research program in Siena, Italy.
Students will be working at the Sbarro Institute for Cancer Research and Molecular Medicine, in collaboration the Department of Medicine, Surgery and Neurosciences at the University of Siena. The program is overseen by Dr. Antonio Giordano, MD, PhD, Temple University professor and Director of Sbarro Health Research Organization, Dr. Luigi Pirtoli, MD, PHD, professor and director of the Radiation Oncology Unit at the University Hospital of Siena, and faculty and researchers at the University of Siena. Students will begin the program at the Temple University Rome campus with more than a week of orientation, cultural field trips, basic language training and visits to local hospitals in Rome before moving to Siena for six weeks of research and an abbrievated on-site orientation upon arrival.

Temple University International Programs Scholarships
Students studying at Temple University Japan or Rome Program for the fall, spring, or summer semester may apply for a scholarship to help defray the costs. The maximum award is $5000. Students may apply by completing the Scholarship application and essay, available within the online program application.

April 1 for the fall/academic year; October 1 for the spring
Guidelines/Requirements:
To be eligible for these awards, applicants must be full-time, matriculated undergraduates and have demonstrated financial need; have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 for a semester scholarship; and participate in the Temple University sponsored program.
