It was definitely worth while. On top of learning about and experiencing and culture completely different from my own, i learned a lot about my self. I think i gained a lot of confidence and independence. Destiny Hopkins - Trinity University View Entire Review
Seeing the extent of how different people are in different cultures, and yet still all so similar. This was a life lesson that taught me more about myself, and about the world. Alvin Mbabazi - Trinity University View Entire Review
I learned about myself, about my ancestry, and had a great time. Brandon Lieberman - Trinity University View Entire Review
Even though I didn't necessarily meet all the Japanese people I had in mind, I was surprised by the diversity of people I met in general. Temple Japan had students coming in from all over the world and I was in close contact with them the whole time. Even if they weren't all Japanese, the people I met there was the greatest pa... I learned that life can be incredibly different, and learned a lot about a culture that was very, very different from my own. However, I also learned that there are a lot of similarities between all people. A student - Indiana University - Bloomington View Entire Review

Going to Japan was great. I definitely hope to go back some day. It's interesting to feel so much like an outsider. I wouldn't say it was life-changing, since I was very well prepared for what I would experience there, but I definitely want to go back as many times as I can in my life. The only major change in me has been my decision to work and live in Japan in the event that my post-graduation plans all fall through. Robert R - University of Rochester View Entire Review
It was expensive and not terribly productive but it was definitely worthwhile. You what I did for the first 21 years of my life? Stay home and study. Suddenly here I was in a foreign country full of distractions, and culture and intrigue and the classes weren't as challenging as I was used to (but in all fairness I was used to q...
