Aside from learning the language, culture and exploring I learned a lot about myself, I learned to be independent and to make good choices. After my time there I believe that when you go abroad you find yourself because you are in a new place, where you know no one, with no limitations what so ever. Carolyn R. Nagle - Instituto Franklin-UAH View Entire Review

It was absolutely worthwhile and I gained so much I don't know where to begin because living in another country gave me a new perspective about how other people live, encouraged me to travel more and of course transformed my Spanish language skills. My Spanish improved immensely. I went from being a Spanish major that could only read, write, and listen, and hardly speak, to someone that could actually hold a conversation by the end of the program. I made life-long friends and I still see some here in Spain. I´ve stayed two years after the program and am living now with two ... Erin Glayzer - SUNY - Stony Brook View Entire Review

I learned how to embrace the challenge of each day and find a way to conquer it. I realized that I won't have any days that I can simply turn on auto pilot and just live. In 1987, the Study Abroad in Spain program was launched. It is intended especially for overseas students who want to study undergraduate courses in Spain. Every year, we serve about 500 students from an array of academic backgrounds and proficiency levels in Spanish, ranging from beginner to advanced.
Every student can choose from a wide range of study areas offered by the Study Abroad in Spain program. Hispanic Studies, International Relations, Business Administration and International Business, Education, Journalism and Communication, and Health Sciences are among the subjects included in our program. Students may take part in an individualized internship program which allows them to work for a company of their choice for an entire semester in addition to all of these other courses.
A significant number of our courses emphasize the development of intercultural and language skills in a professional context and incorporate experiential learning through practicums.
