When I came home from my 5 weeks studying abroad, I literally felt like a new person. I realized how much I grew in the time away. I was nervous to go, but afterwards I wished I went for an entire year. I also learned so much of the language. Prior to the trip, I could not understand half of what the teacher would say in my coll... - University of Maryland - Baltimore County View Entire Review

I loved my ISA experience in Guanajuato. The city's beauty was captivating and the excursions were once in a lifetime opportunities. I miss Guanajuato very much, and plan to go back one of these days. I was satisfied with the teachers and the University. A student studying abroad with Universidad de Guanajuato: Guanajuato - Direct Enrollment & Exchange
After studying abroad, I felt like I should have been in Mexico most of my life. I felt like I belonged to the culture more than my own. I was healthy, happy, and wouldn't have changed my experiences for anything. Hopefully I am able to go back to Guanajuato often for vacation if not for a job at some point. The one regret that ... - University of Central Missouri View Entire Review
Absolutely worthwhile. I improved my Spanish, got to see and understand a different culture and different way of life altogether. Studying abroad changed my outlook towards life in other countries, and if I'm able, I would like to live somewhere other than the United States, somewhere slower-paced like Guanajuato. I would pro... - University of Florida View Entire Review
I really enjoyed my time abroad. Some of my best experiences came from after the program ended however - I stayed for an extra couple weeks to try to live on my own. I would highly recommend doing so, as it gives you the opportunity to use what you learned from the program and apply it to getting by without much assistance. - Rice University View Entire Review
The biggest piece of learning I achieved on the trip was getting over the hump of believing that people don't speak English all the time. You have to learn how to say in Spanish what you want to say in English only you have to be aware it might not mean the same thing. - Edgewood College View Entire Review
This experience made me focus my history major on mexico. I adored this place and even now 3 years later, I can say that was the last place I truly felt- at home-. - St. Edward's University View Entire Review

My experience was very worthwhile. I still talk with the friends I made. After I finished I was so sad I was leaving that I wanted to extend my time there. My experience has changed my future in that I would like to live abroad and I realize how important it is to experience something else and to go explore. - Appalachian State University View Entire Review
I gained a better understanding of myself, and a greater appreciation of my needs and goals, which did not seem to match this program I loved the family I stayed with and miss them a great deal... the was the biggest highlight of my journey. - University of Northern Colorado View Entire Review
