I learned so much about myself and how independent I can be. It was worthwhile in the sense that I now feel comfortable with my Spanish and I know I can handle a lot, but I wish it would have been more of the mind-blowing experience everyone always talks about. - University of New Mexico View Entire Review
Going to Granada, Spain was definitely worthwhile. It is, hands down, the greatest decision I have ever made in my life. I learned to live on my own and to live with people outside of my family. I met and lived with Europeans who had different customs and it was fun to share my experiences with them. Additionally, I learned a di... - San Jose State University View Entire Review
I've always thought of my self as well-cultured, but it wasn't until i studied abroad that i truly understood what it meant to broaden my horizons. I became very close with my host family. I do plan on visiting Granada many times in the future. - Illinois State University View Entire Review
Going abroad was one of the best experiences of my life. I got to experience an entirely different culture as more than just a tourist. I actually lived there and created a life for myself. The people, the city, the tapas, and the overall atmosphere were so pleasant, sophisticated and so entirely un-American! I loved it. - University of California - Los Angeles View Entire Review

Yes, I can honestly say it was the best decision I have made thus far in my life. I went back to Europe a month ago to visit my boyfriend in France and I just was so happy. I really enjoy Europe and am looking forward to returning in the future. - Illinois State University View Entire Review
When I first decided that I wanted to study abroad I had many concerns and fears of being far away from home and in a completely new and foreign country. I convinced my parents into letting me go even before I fully convinced myself. I had my doubts about going to a Spanish speaking country and being in a very different country ... - Illinois State University View Entire Review

I loved studying abroad however there were things that ISU needs to fix from there end as I mentioned above. - Illinois State University View Entire Review
I did not like our program and did not think my money was put to good use with IOSP. I would have rathered paid more money for a decent program that took us to different places and helped us with any problems than being left to venture on our own without help. - Illinois State University View Entire Review
I am more self-aware and confident. After this trip, it was hard for me to point out the specific lessons I learned from it. However, as I am immersing myself in 'real life', I can feel my improvement in patience and people skills. I am more respectful towards myself. I try not to be petty and waste my time on things that are no... - University of New Mexico View Entire Review

I think I became way more comfortable with myself. I have never been good at new situations or changes and after this experience, I have definitely grown in this area of my personality.
