I learned a whole other side of culture and heritage. I had never been to Asia before and traveling to Taiwan was the perfect place to visit. I learned that you can gain so much culturally, personally, and academically if you open up your mind. Samantha T - University of Northern Iowa View Entire Review

I gained lifelong friends, cultural enhancements, worldly experience, international connectedness, and lasting memories. Carl R - University of Northern Iowa View Entire Review

About
UNI students will travel to NCCU and stay for 6 weeks. Faculty members from the UNI Departments of Biology and Psychology will travel with the UNI students and stay for one week to get the students settled into the research labs and their accomodations, make sure everything is running smoothly, and meet with faculty and students at NCCU. During the 6 weeks, UNI students will be involved in neuroscience and psychology research for half of the day (opportunities in many areas of biology and psychology are available based on student interests) and will take a Chinese language course for the other half of the day.
