About

Human Relations: Awareness and Application is focused on recognizing and dealing with human diversity. The experiences of working in Bashay Primary School and Shalom Orphanage will enrich teacher candidates’ understanding of schools in another culture and the human need for learning, whether in a developed or underdeveloped country. Teacher candidates will return to the US with a greater appreciation of the advantages students in the US have based on this authentic, global experience. Just as the goal in PK-12 education is to develop a global perspective, this experience contributes to teacher candidates’ experiencing what they expect of their students.
