About

In this Texas Global Career Launch project, participating students will work on developing textile and apparel materials that can be recycled through composting or broken down by biodegrading as potential alternative options for the fashion industry. Students will explore practice-led methods of design for disassembly using their own developed materials and sustainable textiles from local designers in Denmark. Students will be introduced to the process during the spring semester and then travel to Copenhagen for the month of June where they will work at the Copenhagen School of Design and Technology (KEA). The end of the internship will conclude with a student exhibition showcasing their research process and final products at KEA.
