About

This Maymester program allows students interested in early childhood development a unique opportunity to explore the childhood education approaches with a focus on the Reggio Emilia Approach (REA). REA is an educational philosophy that encourages children in multi-sensory exploration and creative self-expression. In the 4-week intensive study abroad experience, participants will interact with diverse populations allowing for a greater appreciation of the way that cultural differences affect how parents and professionals work together to foster the optimal development in young children. Course has been approved for Global Cultures flag and BDP Children and Society strand.
