That I love Korean culture, and they need people to understand their culture. - Cottey College View Entire Review
I learned a lot from my experience and I do believe it was a worthwhile trip. I made friends and learned a lot about Korean culture. I got immersed in the language and went to places I had wanted to see for a long time. I struggled with personal issues that the program was not good at advising me with and because of that I had t... - Berea College View Entire Review

This was such an amazing experience and if I could I would do it again in a heartbeat. I learned so much about not just Korean culture, but also a lot of cultures of the international friends that I made. I learned how to not be scared to go places on my own and how to really experience things on my own. - West Texas A&M University View Entire Review
I learned that even though a culture is interesting and wonderful, my personality affects my experience. My personality can either merge with a culture or not. - University of the Pacific View Entire Review
I gained a further appreciation for East Asian cultures which could not be imparted through classes or study. Seoul wasn't my first choice for studying abroad, but if I could go back and change to a program in Japan or Thailand, I wouldn't do it. I fell in love with Seoul and South Korea during my stay there, and now I'm plann... - Western Washington University View Entire Review
I liked it. It made me a better person. I'm not sure what else I can say. The only way to know what it's like is to just do it. So do it. - University of Idaho View Entire Review

About

The Seoul program offers courses that introduce you to the business, politics, economics, philosophy, religion, and language of Korea, one of the most rapidly developing nations in East Asia. Downtown Seoul is a city of opposites bustling with palaces, city gates, and temples next to government offices, embassies, theatres, shopping, and more; all just a short distance from Yonsei University. Seoul is also home to many IT corporations and is emerging as one of the most "wired" cities in the world, allowing you to experience the opportunities offered by the communications revolution. Stay for one semester or a full year and take courses in the areas of International Business, East Asian Studies, International Relations (all taught in English), and Korean Language. However, the academic courses are only part of the intended value of a semester abroad. Participation in formal and informal activities, such as field trips to local historical sites, forms an integral part of the program.
