Overall Experience
Even though I did not the university at all, I truly did love Amsterdam. Being at the VU was still a good experience because it made me more thankful for my home institution; nice to know I made the right decision at 18! I also developed a passion for biking and I loved exploring the Netherlands and the surrounding countries!... - Wellesley College View Entire Review
June 06, 2024 :)!
I enjoyed the opportunity to feel more integrated into life in a new city, especially living in Hotel Jansen (a short-medium stay 'hotel'), we shopped for groceries in the local neighborhood and biked to class and into the city center regularly. Being in a different environment took some adjustment, but I am pleased with my expe... - Wellesley College View Entire Review

September 06, 2022 Spring In Amsterdam
I learned how to bike! And now have a lifelong skill. I've started biking since coming back to America and love having it as a hobby/activity that I can do. Also, I learned how to be more independent, especially cooking for myself and planning trips. Overall, it was extremely worthwhile! - Wellesley College View Entire Review

My experience was worthwhile, and it was an amazing experience to live in another country. I got to learn about the history and culture of the Netherlands. Additionally, the Netherlands has so many great museums, so if you buy a Museumkaart (museum pass), you have unlimited access to hundreds of museums across the country! - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I always wanted to visit Amsterdam, and it was a really great city and the Netherlands is a really great country to live in for a few months. There is so much to do and see and so many museums to visit. I learned a lot of independence. I loved having my bike. I missed Wellesley a lot, but honestly I think that being away from it... - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I would not consider it worthwhile. I learned about a new culture and got to see a cool city, but I would have preferred to have visited on my own time instead of while studying abroad. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
