Everything was worthwhile! We learned so much about South African history and the race relations that still trouble the country and the local communities. A summer program with a unique international service learning component.
The Cape Town summer program mixes classroom instruction and hands-on service learning, allowing students to study and experience how post-Apartheid South Africa is working to combat racial, ethnic, economic, and political disparity.
Students will earn a total of 6 credits during the Cape Town Summer Program through a W&M faculty taught course and a Global Studies Internship that contributes to a cultural immersion experience.
