To help with the funding of your study abroad, we have compiled this list of scholarship opportunities offered by providers of study abroad programs and foreign host universities. In this directory you will see information from these organizations, which may help you fund your dream of study abroad.

Many other resources exist, including those from your home university, you should check with your study abroad office for a list of these. You might also consider how study abroad may impact your existing university Financial Aid package, as the cost of your education will change.

Brigham Young University (BYU)

5 scholarships available across 25 programs

The CLS Program provides fully funded, group-based intensive language instruction and structured cultural enrichment experiences for seven to ten weeks for U.S. citizen undergraduate and graduate students in thirteen foreign languages: Arabic, Persian, Azerbaijani, Bangla/Bengali, Hindi, Indonesian, Korean, Punjabi, Turkish, Urdu, Chinese, Japanese, and Russian.

The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship is for undergraduate students who wish to study abroad. The program aims to encourage students to choose non-traditional study abroad destinations, especially those outside of Western Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. This scholarship awards up to $5,000 that can be applied to program tuition, room and board, local transportation, insurance and international airfare.

The Fulbright program for U.S. students is designed to increase mutual understanding between the peoples of the United States and other countries, through the exchange of persons, knowledge, and skills.

Study Abroad Europe Scholarship offers awards for Fall, Spring, Academic Year and Summer programs.

IPSL's goal is to help all students go abroad. Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA) and Americorps Education awards are accepted to go towards all programs. In addition, an automatic $5500 will be applied to all Graduate students who have served with Americorps, Peace Corps and or the military.

KEI Abroad

2 scholarships available across 16 programs

KEI Travel Grants provide students awards of $500 to $1,000, and are based on a combination of academic merit and financial need.

The Hebrew University of Jerusalem

Masa Israel makes it possible for young Jewish adults to come to Israel by offering grants and/or scholarships, making the experience more affordable.

The Thanks To Scandinavia Fund from the Benjamin Sperling Bequest to the Hebrew University has endowed scholarships of US $12,000 each in memory of Frances and Benjamin Sperling, for students from Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden, who wish to pursue graduate studies at the Hebrew University.

RIS Merit Scholarships A limited number of scholarships are being offered to highly qualified international candidates who wish to study at the Rothberg International School. The Graduate Merit Scholarship is a competitive, merit-based scholarship for students admitted to international degree programs in the Division of Graduate Studies at the Rothberg International School. The Scholarship covers the tuition fee for the stated duration of the program. Graduate students from countries other than the United States and Canada may be eligible for Rothberg Family Fund (RFF) tuition scholarships, awarded by the Hebrew University to international students enrolled in the RIS Division of Graduate Studies. Eligibility is determined by academic achievement and financial need.
