Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The teaching style and grading system is different from the way most students coming from the US are used to. It is much more open ended, which gives students the opportunity to think independently.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Wide range of options, from living with a host family to being just with Americans.

* Food:

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

DIS has a program called the Visiting Host Program, which is great for students not living with a host family, but who still want to get that cultural connection.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

This program is very much geared towards study abroad students. I was given plenty of opportunity to travel outside of Denmark. While still have time to explore Copenhagen and go to class.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Cost in Copenhagen are on par with the way things cost in big cities, like NYC and Washington DC.
